Stop Being Poor! Jk! But Really, It’s Ruining The Economy. Why do you hate freedom?
The straight lies that elites tell us about why don’t deserve money. Never forget 2020. Let’s talk about it.

If everyone would just stop being poor that would be great. 63% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, we should start a support group.

Since reggaeton became mainstream, it has taken center stage for conversations and critiques that reflect the larger societal issues about race, class, and gender within Latinidad. Two critical voices in this ongoing discussion belong to Katelina Eccleston and Jennifer Mota, who have spent their careers documenting the cultural, social, and political nuances of el movimiento. "All perreo is reggaeton, but all reggaeton isn't perreo," Eccleston tells her cohost in the second episode of their new podcast "Dímelo Cantando," a partnership with Noise Colectivo and Reggaeton Con la Gata now available on Spotify and YouTube…
The lies that the rich tell us to keep us working hard for hardly anything:
1. The amount of money we get paid is in proportion to how hard we work.
Shout out to everyone who worked the entire pandemic and haven’t stopped. Ya’ll are the real MVPs. We work really hard, taxes are ridiculous, the cost of living has gone up, gas costs more than it ever has, and after 20 years of asking for a $15 minimum wage valió madre with the inflation. Don’t let these foos piss on your back and tell you it’s raining.
2: loving what you do makes ‘hard work’ worth it.
If you love what you do, you’ll literally never take a fucking break. Raise your hand if you work for yourself and it’s exhausting! 🙋🏽♀️The reward for hard work is more hard work and most women of color who start businesses don't even make half of what at yt woman makes. That's a fact. Look it up cuz ya’ll don’t click on these links anyways. If hard work was in proportion to our cash flow we’d all be rich because the lack of support and fucks given by this government is working our nerves— hard!
3: you haven’t achieved monetary ‘success’ because you don’t work hard enough.
The Kardashian Klan may have made their money, but according to the Variety Magazine interview Kris Jenner is the one locking down deals. I don’t question her work ethic, but they all had one hell of a head start and no one can say thats not true. Hard work does not equal success, the hardest jobs with the longest hours offer the worst pay and the most dangerous conditions. (Re: sex workers, farm workers, teachers, mothers, nurses, the list goes on and on)
4: “nobody wants to work anymore.”
More like no one wants to be exploited anymore. It’s giving permanent marker on a piece of cardboard duck taped to the front door at a Denny’s. First of all thats not true, people are just tired of the disrespect. Let’s not forget what sparked “the great resignation” and what has caused a shift in US work culture. The lack of government protections and social safety net. When everyone’s health was on the line, they chose to pay themselves with our tax dollars and let us drown and die of disease. Not just once either (if you want to know more look through my archives it’s all in there with receipts).
They continue to pass bills that disperse obscene amounts of money to war and now 13.6 billion dollars in aid to Ukraine… Bitch what?! I did not co-sign this, that’s my tax money. We lost family members and friends and colleagues, we lost jobs, many of us lost our health, and they gave us $1,200 and told us to get back to work. I’ll NEVER forget the way they threw us under the bus in 2020 and got trillions of dollars richer doing it.
