Kim Kardashian and Byron Can Both F*ck Off
What in the Women’s History Month is going on? Better get back to work and drive to the office because “nobody wants to work anymore.” We’re such bad peasants!
It’s been a while but here we are again. Yer girl honestly hates dealing with people talking shit but fuck it. I’ll be posting more of my own writing about news stuff. And I think I’ll find a cool cadence. Let‘s get this moving again, please share on the socials if you like my work. It’s good to be back!
Kim Kardashians message In Variety magazine is just more proof that the ultra rich stick together
The Kardashians sell us an illusion, we are the ones who make it reality through our actions. Look around, how we are influenced impacts our real world. Look at bbl culture and the drastic shift in beauty standards that came from them. It’s time for influencers to be replaced with leaders. 2 weeks into women’s history month and we have tone deaf billionaires telling us we don’t work hard enough from their Marie Antoinette style photo shoot, in a magazine called Vanity. Are they fucking with us? Call us peasants without calling us peasants Kimberly. The Kardashian franchise is built on their fans' adoration and the capitalist idea that having more makes you more important or at least more interesting— debatable. Kim’s message is disturbing but not surprising. Are we in any way surprised that billionaires think alike or that the Kardashians have ties to the White House? To me this is very clear propaganda. We need to remember who they are and what they stand for, cuz it ain’t us.
I will say this til the day I die, the media is a tool of the state and this includes social media.
Why the Fuck Do Any of US Care About the Kartrashians?
Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle all believed that only a select few should have the privilege and responsibility of addressing the masses. There were qualifications because they recognized how important and dangerous it was. Today we have people with massive influence pushing idiocy on top of dangerous weight loss trends, like the Kardashians have, and unrealistic body standards, like the Kardashians have among so so many things. Kanye West literally meddled in politics a huevo. Kendal Jenner and that terrible Pepsi commercial. Why do we keep watching them and supporting them?
Is Kim Kardashian Trying to Crush the Workers Revolt?
Women in business may have been her focus but this goes for everyone. Because don’t get it twisted, this is a working class revolt. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that 80,700 workers went on strike but they dont measure all striking activity. Likely for the same reason most of the most recent strikes and protests don’t make the news, if we can’t see it it’s easier to deny it. We have all seen the “nobody wants to work anymore” and “help wanted” signs. We know what it is. I would defy this perception of reality and ask that we use our eyes and ears and common sense.
The BLS data do not capture all strike activity. BLS data on major work stoppages include only those strikes (and the rare employer lockout) that involve 1,000 or more workers and last at least one full shift. These size and duration limits mean that the BLS data did not capture actions taken by many workers who walked off the job to demand fair pay and safe working conditions during the pandemic. (Economic Policy Institute)
The people are revolting and they’ve told us to eat cake when we can’t afford the gas to get to the market and the cake is a Birkin. 65% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. You have more in common with a unhoused person than you ever in your life will with a Kardashian.
The girl boss died in 2020
I guess no one told Kim that we are taking care of our bodies, minds and spirits in 2022, the girl boss is dead. And I did not send flowers. We are not hustling to death because we live in a country that doesn't provide basic social services, affordable housing, or universal healthcare. Get off your ass and work? With no childcare? When gas is $6? When wages are measly and the cost of everything continues to soar? Biden’s message and the message of the ultra rich rings clear, stfu you dirty commoners and get back to making us money.
Let’s Make This About Women’s History Month
Moms never stopped working and are still struggling. Violence against women went up during the pandemic. The Senate’s “Emergency Bill” reinforces the existing Violence Against Women Act, and yet the US continues to be one of the only countries that doesn’t track or recognize Femicide**. I would assume that the US is either on par or very close to Mexico because in Mexico 10.5 women are murdered every day. Single mothers are the poorest and more unprotected class. Black and Brown women are starting businesses at the highest rates but also lost big time during the pandemic. But they also make up a majority of the working poor.
**There are numerous categories of femicide: intimate femicide; non-intimate femicide; honor killings; sexual-orientation-hate crimes; murder of aboriginal women and girls; dowry-related femicide; organized crime femicide; and targeted killings of women in armed conflict, among others. Next time I’ll go over the lies that billionaires tell us to keep the ideology of “hard work” and the “American Dream” going. Love youuuuuu
